Introduction

SHINKO supplies not only 5.6 mm diameter types (which are industrial standard) of LD for optical pickups, but also various-shape stems or caps with window-glass, depending on customers' needs.
Moreover, our overseas group companies are manufacturing TO-5, 8, 18, 39 and 46 glass-to-metal seal packages and corresponding TO-18 and 46 caps with window glass.

• Packages made of metal and glass and featuring high hermeticity and outstanding electrical properties
• Hermeticity: 1x10^-9 Pa.m³/sec and lower
• High electrical insulation: 1 x 10¹¹ Ω or higher
• High thermal conduction properties (Fe/Cu/Fe clad type and copper-block type)
• To react flexibly to diversifying your needs, we are able to carry out all the integrated production processes (from product design and mold design to stamping and plating), based on a thorough quality management regime
• Various pin layouts and plating specifications is supported

Structure

Principles of Hermetic Packaging

Two types of structures, matched type and compression type, are supported based on the glass sealing method used.
We suggest the optimal sealing method and structure depending on design and application.
