The universe first came into being 13.7 billion years ago, creating all matter as we know it in the birth and death of stars. And today, semiconductors created from this matter power the mobile phones and personal computers that have become indispensable elements in the daily lives of people the world over.
We at SHINKO engage in the development, manufacturing and sales of parts that make the functions contained within semiconductors accessible to the world.

SHINKO Manufacturing: Our Origins

Amid the food and material shortages of 1946, Takekio Mitsunobu and the other founders set out to take the first step forward, together with about 60 employees, while managing to overcome the difficulties of those times. The company started by recycling household lamps, then went on to manufacture lamps for telephone switchboards, and eventually evolved into an integrated manufacturer of semiconductor packages.
Through the production of the lamps, we have accumulated a range of core competencies such as vacuum technology, metal processing technology and glass sealing technology. These core competencies are now integrated with various other technologies that enhanced the techniques employed, allowing for optimum use in the manufacture of leading-edge semiconductor packages.

While global competition is intensifying, we as a whole group have promoted and are strongly committed to innovative production activities, which have led to enormous changes at our production sites. The motivation to relentlessly improve and innovate that drives each and every member of our workforce represents a huge asset for the company.
Research and development at SHINKO Manufacturing recognizes that even the most familiar products can hold possibilities yet to be realized. We look to new types of technology and dynamic levels of production that cater to the needs of the times. We will also continue to forge ahead with production that remains a step ahead of the times.
